Alyson Wooten, PharmD, focuses her practice on patent litigation across technologies including pharmaceuticals, chemical products and medical devices. She has argued Markman hearings, summary judgment, and discovery-related hearings in various United States courts, including Delaware, Georgia, Minnesota, and California. She has participated in all aspects of patent litigation, including invalidity and infringement investigations, claim construction, preparation of expert reports and settlement negotiations.
Registered as a patent attorney and pharmacist, Dr. Wooten has broad experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including medical services, regulatory, marketing, and clinical trial analysis. Prior to joining Kilpatrick Townsend, Dr. Wooten worked for a leading pharmaceutical company focusing on Paragraph IV litigation, patent prosecution for new chemical entities and FDA regulatory issues.
Dr. Wooten was recognized in 2017 and the six years immediately preceding as a Georgia "Rising Star" in the area of Intellectual Property Litigation by Super Lawyers magazine.
